Self Service Water Laundry & Heat Pump
Saving energy by combining washing machines with the class A+ AQUA Plus heat pump for domestic hot water
The owner of the water-based self-service laundry wanted to cut down on the running costs of the laundry, which were mainly related to the consumption of washing machines.
Washing machines usually have an electrical resistance to heat the water to the desired temperature, which can lead to high energy consumption, especially in industrial laundries or those with frequent washing.
To reduce consumption, the washing machines have been connected to an A+ AQUA Plus heat pump. The washing machines no longer have to heat the water themselves, as the pump supplies water that has already been heated, drastically reducing energy requirements.
The results
In addition to the energy savings related to water heating, the combination with the heat pump also brings other advantages such as reduced washing times, as the washing machines no longer have to wait for the water to be heated internally, and less device wear due to the lower workload on the internal heating elements.
